Anja Chong started out in figure skating and began competing on the international circuit at age 14, eventually swapping her figure skates for short track speed skating ones. She took a 4-year hiatus to focus on graduating from the University of Nottingham (UK) with an LLB Bachelor of Laws. Her pro-bono work, coupled with her focus on Human Rights during her law degree has fostered a great passion for helping others. Her hope is to inspire others and advocate change.
Once she accomplished her goal of getting three Gold Medals at the SEA Games, Anja began to look towards what her next challenge would be. In her efforts to empower women to believe that we really can do it all, she has decided to juggle a career in the financial industry, as well as one out on the ice! Anja is currently working at Portcullis, as head of Business Development. She also writes a newsletter in the hopes of helping to inspire other women out there and together discover how to be our best selves. You can subscribe to her newsletter here. Her brother is Henry Chong, who is the CEO of Fusang. He also writes a weekly newsletter that you can subscribe to here.
